Common Questions

Typically 45–60 minutes to reach a good heat, depending on the size of the sauna and outside temperature. The ritual of lighting the fire and waiting is part of the experience — it gives you time to slow down before you even step inside.
Every build is bespoke, so we work with the space you have. As a rough guide, a standard sauna hut can fit comfortably in a garden from around 4m × 4m. We'll always visit your site before designing to make sure everything fits perfectly and feels right in its setting.
Yes. Our structures are built to withstand Yorkshire weather — four seasons, all conditions. In fact, a wood-fired sauna in winter is one of life's great pleasures.
We're Yorkshire-based but happy to discuss projects further afield — particularly for the right commission. Get in touch and let's have a conversation.
It varies depending on the complexity of the design and our current schedule. After an initial conversation we'll give you a realistic timeline. We'd rather take the time to do it properly than rush something that's meant to last a lifetime.
Very little. Keep the inside clean and dry between uses, sweep out ash from the firebox regularly, and treat any exterior timber annually. We'll give you full aftercare guidance when your build is complete.
Most garden sauna and wellbeing hut installations fall within permitted development rights and don't require planning permission, but this depends on your property and location. We're happy to advise based on our experience.
