About Cumbre

Our Story

Born in the Mountains

Cumbre Expediciones was founded in 2010 by the Quispe family — lifelong Huaracinos who grew up in the shadow of Huascaran, the tallest peak in Peru. What started as simple day hikes for visiting friends quickly grew into full-scale expeditions across the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash ranges.

Our philosophy has never changed: small groups, local guides, and sustainable tourism that respects the mountains we call home. We believe the best way to experience the Andes is with people who truly know them — their trails, their weather, their stories.

Every sol spent with Cumbre stays in the community. From our guides and cooks to our transport partners and equipment suppliers, we work exclusively with local families and businesses. This isn't just a company — it's a way of giving back to the mountains that raised us.
